The Hex is surrounded by nature, yet just minutes from wineries and “the best burgers in Texas” at Alamo Springs Café. You can hike, explore, and wine taste during the day. Then, come home to quiet luxury. It’s the perfect Soulcation — a chance to unwind, reset, and recharge.
The Hex includes one bedroom and one bathroom. Natural light fills the space through expansive windows that showcase scenic Hill Country views — an ideal backdrop for your romantic getaway near Fredericksburg TX.
A Queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress and cozy bedding offers a restful retreat. The room also features a ceiling fan, mini-split A/C, blackout curtains, and a small area to hang clothes.
Enjoy a spacious tiled shower with a glass door — perfect for two. We also provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels for your stay.

A compact kitchen setup includes a two-burner induction stovetop, a small fridge, and basic tools for light cooking. You’ll also find a Keurig with ground coffee and a few K-Cups. Additionally, the Murphy dining table seats two — great for an intimate meal in.
Step outside to a large private deck with a grill, seating for two, a fire pit, and an outdoor shower. There’s even a hot tub for two — perfect for stargazing or unwinding after a day of adventure in Fredericksburg’s wine country.
Towering oaks, native plants, and local wildlife surround Hill Country Soulcation, which sits on six quiet acres above Fredericksburg. So, you can spend your days exploring and your nights beneath the stars. We have two other units available on the property — the Bin and the Dome. Book all three and enjoy your own private retreat. If you’d like help finding dates when multiple units are available, just send us a message.
Firewood is not provided; however, you’re welcome to bring your own, as long as there is no burn ban in effect.
Our property is in a natural setting, and as a result, you may encounter insects and wildlife during your stay.
We keep the pathways and gravel roads clear, while allowing the spaces between units to grow naturally. This helps preserve the land’s beauty and adds a sense of privacy for our guests.
We do have Wi-Fi; however, because we’re out in the country, signal strength can vary. For that reason, we recommend disconnecting when possible — it’s the perfect excuse to truly relax!
Early check-in and late check-out are available for an additional $35 each. This allows you to arrive up to two hours early or stay two hours later. Once your reservation is confirmed, you can request either option, and we’ll confirm availability as your stay approaches.
